New build house in Kenilworth Road, Ealing, London.

This is a project by Crawford Partnership Architects, a new build house, built on the site of two former garages on this leafy road in Ealing, in west London. The planning restrictions led the architects to bring in natural light through the full height windows on the front, and several ceiling panels at the back, allowing lots of light to flood in to what is a compact, but light, bright and airy feeling interior on two levels. Triple glass windows, an air source heat pump and solar panels on the roof combine to make this a very low energy dwelling.
