I am a London based interiors and architectural photographer. Thanks for visiting my little corner of the internet. I have been photographing architecture and interiors photographer for over 25 years, documenting beautiful homes and buildings, and my images have been extensively published in countless interiors magazines and books worldwide.

I have collaborated with global companies, architects, interior designers, developers, building companies, specialist craftsmen, trade suppliers, restaurants, private members clubs as well as private people to document and record their houses, interiors or building projects.

My use of natural lighting (with only occasional accenting with artificial lights) imparts a subtle luminosity and clarity to my images which has always been very well received.

I am based in London, but whenever possible, I escape to a bolthole in the tiny Aeolian island of Panarea, off the coast of Sicily.

I studied at the Courtauld Institute of Art, where I gained a degree in art history.

For many years I have been producing fine art cityscapes and panoramic views of London and other cities, as well as Mediterranean views and landscapes, and my images are in numerous private, corporate and local government collections worldwide. These you can see on my other website adambutler.com.

My interiors and architectural photography has been featured in many books and many of the leading interiors magazines all over the world, as well as appearing on dozens of their covers. The include AD Italia, Elle Decoration, Homes and Gardens, Casa Vogue, Spazio Casa, Diseño Interior, La Mia Casa, Ville e Casali, and dozens more.

For over 10 years I have also been running  interiors and architectural photography courses. These have proven to be very popular, and I have taught many dozens of students. This course is open to anyone of any level* and is essential to improve technical and artistic photography skills, which will help you ultimately to make magnificent images, which after all is what interiors and architectural photography is all about.
*a basic knowledge of photography skills and digital editing is important however

A book of my photographs of Panarea was published in 1998 by Iditella Press, and some copies are still available. A new book of that most beautiful of islands is currently in (long-term) planning….
