Pre Rup Temple

King Rajendravarman chose this site as his capital city and built Pre Rup in the centre as the state temple. The pyramid shaped temple rises steeply in three tiers with many shrines and statues of lions guarding the staircases and reliefs of Shiva, Vishnu and their consorts on the shrines.
