Images of Panarea

Panarea is the smallest but most beautiful of the Aeolian Islands, an archipelago of volcanic islets situated just off the north eastern tip of Sicily.

Adam Butler's photographs of Panarea are in hundreds of private and corporate collections throughout Europe, the US and Australia.

A book of his photographs was published in 1998 by Iditella Press (click on the link at right for more details).

Adam has been visiting Panarea all his life, his family having owned a house there since the 1950s, and he has been extensively photographing the island since the 1980s.and every year he continues to allow his eye to wander - with camera in hand - across the natural and (ever-changing) built environment of Panarea, and thus adding to his large archive of images.
